What is a Cabana?

A cabana or cabaña is a temporary or permanent free standing shade structure with traversing curtains, decorative drapes and/or solid walls. Cabanas are fabricated from a variety of materials and in sizes ranging from 4ft x 4ft dressing rooms, up to 40ft x 80ft hospitality suites.

Cabana frames are made of aluminum or steel with a polyester powder coat paint finish or other durable multi-layer finish or treated wood. Top covers, side walls and/or traversing curtains are made of exterior grade fabrics or thatched materials. Custom cabanas may include accessories such as electrical wiring, ceiling fans, television mounts, partitions, dressing rooms and air vents.

What's the difference between Resort Cabanas VS. cabanas from retail outlets?

Resort Cabanas are custom commercial-grade cabanas intended for use at hotels, resorts, spas, beach resorts, restaurants, golf courses or high-end residential applications. Retail outlet units are generally imported from overseas and fabricated with low-grade materials.

What's the difference between the cabanas posted on this website?

Each cabana design varies from one to another by frame and fabric construction, available sizes, engineering, features and custom options.

What's the difference between Engineered and Non-Engineered Cabanas?

All cabana products posted online are fabricated with steel-framed construction for strength and durability. The framework for "Engineered" cabanas are structurally designed and approved for wind-loads between 80 to 150MPH. "Non-Engineered" units are not approved for high wind-loads.

Do the cabanas have a warranty?

Yes. The Sunbrella® Awning Grade fabric covers carries a limited five (5) year manufacture warranty. The cabana frames carry a one (1) year warranty.

Eide Industries, Inc. warrants its products for a period of one (1) year from the date of original product manufacture.* Certain fabrics, materials, and other components used in the fabrication of Eide Industries’ products may carry warranties and prorated warranties of differing lengths provided by their manufacturer(s). In all cases, Eide Industries, Inc. warranties do not exceed one (1) year from the date of original product manufacture. Eide Industries’ warranties specifically exclude product damage or personal injury due to neglect, improper use, improper installation, or improper maintenance and for damage or injury due to acts of nature.

Do you re-cover or repair cabana covers?

We provide new covers for commercial-grade, steel-framed custom cabanas. We do not offer cover replacements for units purchased from retail home center outlets, hardware stores and/or consumer outlets.

What fabric do you use?

We use Sunbrella® Awning Grade fabric materials on all our cabana products.

Sunbrella® is a registered trademark of Glen Raven, Inc. Sunbrella® Awning Grade fabrics are water repellent, fade resistant, solution dyed, acrylic woven material which carries a limited five (5) year manufacture warranty.

Are the cabanas water-proof?

Sunbrella® Awning Grade fabrics are water-repellent (not water-proof). This means that during the Sunbrella® finishing process a water repellent finish is applied to the fabric. Normal wear and usage will reduce the effectiveness of this finish as will cleaning the fabric. Water-proof fabrics are available upon request.

Are the cabana covers fire-proof?

Sunbrella® Awning Grade fabrics are not flame-retardant. Flame retardant fabrics are available upon request.

Do you use furniture grade fabric?

Yes, Sunbrella® Furniture Grade fabrics are available upon request.

However, for the greatest protection, strength and outdoor durability we recommend Sunbrella® Awning/Marine Grade which carries a limited five (5) year manufacturer warranty.

Sunbrella® Furniture Grade is primarily intended for use on patio furniture (cushions, pillows, umbrellas, etc.) and only carries a limited three (3) year manufacturer warranty.
